Don't forget to register for 'Africa Together' this week Friday 23 May

The first-ever event in Cambridge to mark Africa Day. African Society of Cambridge University (ASCU) invites you to celebrate Africa Day with a programme showcasing the best Africa has to offer. The conference will feature African speakers making waves across the continent and around the world. In the morning, African fashion, media representations and history will be up for discussion, as we look to the African past and present. Following a lunch of dishes from across the continent, delegates will engage with questions on Africa's future - the role of women in transforming the continent, business, and Africa's place in the wider world. The day promises to challenge views about Africa, celebrate the continent and offer invaluable opportunities to connect with current and future movers and shakers. Overall, a packed programme including panel discussions with high-profile African experts and leaders, Q&A sessions, networking sessions, exhibition stalls by prospective employers, food from all corners of Africa, as well as live music well into the night. Tickets are £5 in advance or £10 at the door. Come and engage in Africa Together!
